If food producers/manufacturers were putting some other 'poisonous' substance in our foods, it would be considered a crime. Let's protect the health of our citizens. |

I heard this message from Charlene Prickett "It Figures" many years ago. Using these hydrogenated oils is not worth the health risks. There are so many people who really are not aware of these dangerous fats that we are eating every day. Good luck in your efforts |

Even 2% trans fats is dangerous to our health. Once companies know they can't use them they will have to make the change as McDonalds and Voortmans have proven. They will also continue to use trans fats until they are forced to make the change. Obesity has reached an all time high, especially in our children. We have a responsibility to our children to make sure that the foods they eat are safe and good food choices. |

I never buy anything with transfats on the label and complain if a product I use is found with this added. Get rid of this poison from our foods. |

This is an excellent issue to address! It's about time that we start looking at our bodies and start treating it with the respect it deserves. Life is a wonderful gift, so let's stop wasting time on junk food, and start eating what is right!! Education is the key |

I am a Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner. I have spent my career trying to inform the public of the dangers of Trans Fatty Acids. However when it comes down to it, people will continue to buy processed foods because it is easy. However we live in a society where we pay for everyones health care. Should we not then start being more preventative? We require everyone to wear a seat belt in the car, because if they do not it is a danger to their health. Trans fats are just as bad -it just takes longer.
Perhaps it is time to take more control of the health of our society.
Regards, Cheryl

It is time to think about the health of our citizens rather than the pockets of our business people. |
