ID Name Organization City State/Province Comment
317 Jennifer Fedosoff Toronto ON
316 Jamie Good Toronto ON Keep at it! Great idea!
315 Jesse Hoffman N/A Peterborough ON Transfats have absolutely NO positive effect on Canadians. They are VERY bad for you and it has already been proven that food products such as cookies can be made without them. I wish to congragulate Pat Martin on his honourable effort and wish him the best of luck on his crusade!
313 Mary McDonald Coldbrook NS
310 Brigitte Neufeld winnipeg MB I think trans fats should be outlawed!
304 Gail Golding Halifax NS Trans fats seem to be relaively new to our diet. If they are half as harmful as is now being reported, they should be banished.
302 ceci graber-olm BC exellent petition.. it's about time!
299 Zahra Ismail ottawa ON
296 Beth Rajnovich Bedford NS

285 Mat Wiebe Winnipeg MB
283 Wahkuna Lisik Saint John NB
281 Eric Myren Duncan BC I find the situation and state of Canada's food supply to be a disgrace compared to what it could and should be!
277 Julie Walter Toronto ON Stricter laws must be enforced with respect to product packaging. Not only with respect to TransFats, but also regarding Genetic Modifications etc. and maintain a more regulated and strict system in Canada. I always check for nutritioinal information on packaging, and many times it is not there.
274 Melanie MacKarney Kentville NS I strongly believe trans fats should not be in our food supply.
272 Frank Gummett Dartmouth NS As a 46 year old recently diagnosed diabetic and a father of a 13 year old son I wholeheartedly endorse this petition. I know from daily experience how difficult it is to avoid these dangerous and unnecessary fats.
271 Don Cockburn Ottawa ON The risks associated with hydrogenated oils have been understood for decades. It's time to act. I'm especially concerned about the snack foods that are eaten in large quantities by so many kids. Labelling will not have much effect on them. Furthermore, many categories of food containing trans fats do not carry labels when sold (e.g. baked goods at deli-counters, coffee shops, etc.).
270 marguerite russell hants county NS I agree three fold
265 Jason McLaren Ottawa ON
264 Rob Read Toronto ON
263 Jeffrey Overmars Halifax NS
