If trans fats are not banned they should at least appear on food labels so we know what we are buying |

We make laws to help prevent children from starting to smoke because we know of the health hazards of smoking now. We need to continue to protect our children, and ourselves from trans fats because we already know of the health risks from them too. To ignore them and to let the continuation of them is to ensure more health risks and shorter lifespans for our future generations, and that would be a crime of comparable devastation as those of Hitler. Slowly killing your own people in a hidden form of genocide. Who are the ultimate targets? The ones who will suffer the most are of course the people of lower income families who can't afford to be as picky or the people of lower educational levels that are not aware of the danger they inflict upon themselves and their loved ones. We keep hearing about rising health costs yet prevention is the best way to ensure these costs don't go up. The answer is clear.... NO MORE TRANS FATS!!! Save our people, our children, our health and our economy. |

We need to do all we can to ban trans fat from our diets. Companies must accept resposibility for how they process foods and the effect these foods have on the health of the nation. |
